Cyber Warfare
Cyber can be used to either supplement, replace, or enhance a kinetic operation. The battlespace is forever changed due to the advances in technologies. Nations can start with a cyber-attack on critical infrastructure and national defense targets, then move in with a kinetic strike. Conversely, a cyber-attack can fully replace a military operation and achieve an objective with little to no attribution. Collateral damage can be great if planning or sophistication is insufficient, and there are few international laws or rules concerning the use of cyber during warfare.
We explore all areas of cyber warfare and investigate the role of international bodies in governing the rules cyber warfare.
